Process Metallurgy

Materials Production

Being able to produce materials with customized properties is the foundation of a successful industrial production process. MetaMat leads the way in applied research and development for the production of ferrous metallic alloys. MetaMat specializes in metallurgical processes and alloy development. Research and development in collaboration with the steel and metal industry constitutes a significant part of MetaMat’s business. This generally includes direct research with the industry in conjunction with process and alloy development.

Process metallurgy is all about the way metals are made and associated fields. Besides material characterization, the material scientist or engineer also deals with extracting materials and convering them into useful forms. Thus ingot casting, foundry methods, blast furnace extraction, and electrolytic extraction are all part of the required knowledge of a materials engineer.
Often the presence, absence, or variation of minute quantities of secondary elements and compounds in a bulk material will greatly affect the final properties of the materials produced. in this regards, We offer research and development within the entire metallurgical process chain, from raw materials to finished metal. Our jobs deal with everything from troubleshooting to developing and implementing new or amended processes or improving current ones.
Our employees are a mixture of people with academic qualifications and those with sound industrial experience within metallurgy. This is a great asset to us and for the industry which is constantly kept up to date.
